As a retailer, there are three main steps to complete to earn Yara Points:
1. Check pending farmers on YaraConnect
On the YaraConnect app, tap Action Africa. This tab contains everything you need to view as a retailer for Action Africa. If you don't see the Action Africa icon, try updating your YaraConnect application.
When you open the Action Africa tab, you will see a Pending list. Farmers that are assigned to you by Yara will automatically appear on this list. If you do not have any pending farmers, then you can help by encouraging farmers in your area to apply for Action Africa (See how farmers register for Action Africa here). Yara assigns farmers to retailers based on location, so by raising awareness for Action Africa, you are more likely to have more pending farmers assigned to you.
2. Receive fertilizer
According to how many pending farmers you will be assigned, Yara will deliver bags of Action Africa branded 50kg YaraMila CEREAL fertilizer to you. You should be notified of your deliveries by your Market Promoter.
You should not be paying any amount for the fertilizer or for the delivery. If you have been asked so, this may be a case of fraud. Please report your experience to us here.
3. Allocate fertilizer on YaraConnect
Now that you have your fertilizer, and have farmers on your Pending list, all you have to do is wait for the farmer to come to you. The farmer would have received your shop name, your phone number, and your shop address that you used to register on YaraConnect.
